Clara Button loves hats! When her elder brother Ollie ruins her favourite hat, the one thatbelongs to her fashion-designer grandmother, mum suggests going to the Victoria & AlbertMuseum. Clara is overwhelmed by the great coloured glass chandelier, the marvellous costumesin the fashion gallery, and above all by the outrageous hats she discovers. She boldly setsoff alone to find a hatter able repair the damaged hat, and during her quest meets someextraordinary people. Meanwhile, Ollie discovers a world full of swords and tigers!
Amy de la Haye now teaches at the London College of Fashion, having been curator ofTwentieth-Century Costumes at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. She is the authorof Lucile (V&A, 2009) with Valerie Mendes, and Chanel (V&A, 2011).
