An object that is as common as it is special

The collector’s issue of Marie Claire Maison (Italian edition), available from the end of September, includes one of the 200 eggs photographed by Paul Starosta, the subject of our latest book Uova (Œufs in the French edition). The pictures of these extravagant “pieces”—all of which are in the Werner Haller Collection recently acquired by the Museum of Geneva—are accompanied by commentary by the French biologist Laurent Vallotton. We must all thank Gaetano Zoccali for this “close-up” of an object that is as common as it is special.
