The pivotal theme of this publication is the fact that Pasolini considered the body to be word incarnate. This interpretation was certainly unprecedented, for in no other poet, writer, intellectual, or film director did the body make way for the word in such an authentic fashion. The various sections of the exhibition, which are mirrored in the structure of this volume, are devoted to face, voice, costume, Pasolini\u2019s relationship with women, and mockery.<\/p>\n<p>It all revolves around the radical dimension, which as a poet and writer Pasolini experienced with his body in its totality. He experienced and moved through the world with a physicality that often implied completeness and magnificence, and yet could also represent tragedy, but always resonated with an extreme love of life and reality.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Giuseppe Garrera<\/strong> is an art historian, curator, and collector. In 2019 he cooperated with Sebastiano Triulzi on the volume <em>\u00abRazza sacra\u00bb. Pasolini e le donne (appunti per una ricerca)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cesare Pietroiusti<\/strong> is a visual artist and the founder and coordinator of several research centers, projects, and art conferences. He studied to be a psychiatrist.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clara Tosi Pamphili<\/strong> is an architect and a student of applied arts; she is also an art director in the fashion industry.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exhibition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rome, Palazzo delle Esposizioni | October 17, 2022 \u2013 January 20, 2023<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PIER PAOLO PASOLINI. EVERYTHING IS SACRED<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>5 Continents Editions is the publishing partner of an important series of exhibitions: <em>Pier Paolo Pasolini. Tutto \u00e8 Santo <\/em>(<em>Everything Is Sacred<\/em>). This project will involve three different museums in Rome: Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Palazzo Barberini, and Museo MAXXI. Its goal is to explore a theme dear to Pasolini\u2014sacredness\u2014with a multidisciplinary approach that will shed a light on his main characteristics as a writer, director, and artist.<\/p>\n<p>This important project, the title of which refers to a quote from the movie <em>Medea<\/em> (1969) in which the wise Chiron speaks of the mysterious sacredness of the world (of the world of the archaic, deeply religious underclass as opposed to the heroes of the rational, laic, bourgeois world), will be a conclusion to the year of celebrations organized on the occasion of the 100<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of Pier Paolo Pasolini\u2019s birth (Bologna, March 5, 1922 \u2013 Rome, November 2, 1975).<\/p>\n<p>Each venue will adopt a specific approach, using different media, themes, original works, and archive documents, with the awareness of being part of a broader perspective that has the purpose of introducing an unprecedented reflection on Pasolini\u2019s production and the cultural influence he exerted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This volume is the companion of the opening exhibition of the large-scale project Pier Paolo Pasolini.
